Don’t worry, be happy
Bull rider Mike Sparks, of Caldwell, uses good form to stay upright in the Sun Valley Classic PBR bull-riding event Friday night in Hailey. Thirty-one bull riders performed for more than 2,000 rambunctious fans at the city’s Rodeo Grounds. After 35 rides, nine cowboys had completed a full, 8-second ride to earn a place in the championship round. Contestants were from all over the West, including Oklahoma, Utah, New Mexico, Montana, Nevada and Arizona. The event also had an international flair, including three cowboys from Australia. Texan Scottie Knapp won the event, as he was the only rider to complete a full ride in the championship round. Photo by .
